Job Details
Medical Assistant - Float Pool
The Medical Assistant will support the practice workflows in a variety of ways. Some (not all) are as follows :
triage patients with detailed medication reconciliation
Bilingual
- administer injections
- schedule follow-up visits
- assist provider with exams and procedures
- conduct calls with patients / other offices about results / needs according to provider guidance
- obtain prior authorizations / referrals
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Certification as Medical Assistant preferred
- One year experience in a clinical office environment and with an electronic medical record is preferred
- Proficient with MS Office software including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
- Ability to work quickly and multi-task
- Must have organizational skills and a professional demeanor to work effectively with external and internal personnel
- Proper oral and written communication and telephone etiquette are required
- The ability to speak fluent Spanish is preferred
