Resource Scheduler
JOB SUMMARY
The Resource Scheduler is responsible for accurately entering patient information into the hospital scheduling system for outpatient testing and assuring that pre-certification requirements are met when patient is scheduled. The Resource Scheduler also maintains up-to-date records of scheduling guidelines from all scheduling centers and follows all procedural guidelines and instructions on all scheduled procedures. Accurate and through documentation of pertinent information regarding the handling of the account, including researching prior accounts is also a responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Must have a minimum of two years experience with medical terminology, checking insurance and/or registering patients for medical appointments. Must have computer skills and be able to effectively communicate with all guests regarding sensitive and often complicated issues. Must be able to type at least 35 wpm. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Must be able to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of workflow.
