Dynamic Opportunity~ As a full-time employee, working 40 hour per week, administer medications to APC and A group home residents as needed. Document nursing services in EHR. Assist with the development and management of dietary plans for A group home residents.
The Guidance Center~ is a primary mental health support agency, providing compassionate, professional care for individuals and families with mental health needs in the greater Cumberland County, NJ area. For more than 50 years, our non-profit organization of professionals, doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, has assisted the community in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of mental illness.
What does this position look like~ The Nursing Supervisor provides administrative and clinical supervision to nursing personnel and medication case management staff within psychiatric Ensures adequate levels of clinical staff supervision, skill development and support. Coordinates and responds to the needs of other program elements as indicated. Complete nursing assessments for A group home residents. Develop and facilitate APC groups regarding good health practices, self-administration of medications, identifying side effects, self-advocacy, good nutrition and related topics. Provide support strategies to assist A group home residents with medication adherence. Assist residents to make advances towards independent self-care.
What you need to apply~
- Registered Nurse RN New Jersey license required, two years' experience with target population.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with health records, medications, documentation.
- Knowledge of community health resources.
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by our carrier.
