What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychotherapist, Private Practice position at Cunningham Counseling Services?
Cunningham Counseling Services is currently seeking a passionate, motivated and responsible LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW to work on a fee for service basis. We offer flexibility and will invest in your professional growth through the private practice setting.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide individual psychotherapy to assigned cases comprised of adolescents, teens, adults, or couples.
- Complete screening and intake assessments including but not limited to psychosocial and risk assessment.
- Timely recording of all necessary clinical documentation
- Develop person-centered treatment plans and monitor for progress
- Formulate discharge plans and referrals to community resources
- Crisis intervention as needed
Qualifications:
Active New York State license: LCSW
- 1- 2 years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy
- Knowledge of DSM-V, CBT, DBT, ACT, or other clinical modalities
- Ability to commit 15- 20 client contact hours per week (50-60 min. session)
- Ability to work independently and/or use clinical judgment when needed.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation including treatment plan, progress note, bio-psychosocial assessment etc.
- Professional liability insurance required upon hire
- Must be New York State residency
