What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Product Manager position at Curb Mobility?

About Curb

Curb is re-architecting urban mobility.

Our platform powers live transportation systems — payments, routing, compliance, and marketplace integrations — across 100,000 taxis and for-hire vehicles worldwide. We operate continuously, moving millions of riders each year from the world’s largest on-demand platforms into professional, regulated fleets.

We’re becoming an AI-led company, embedding AI throughout how we build, operate, and improve our products — from automated analysis and integration testing to intelligent performance optimization. This role sits directly at the center of that transformation.

The Role

We’re hiring an Associate Product Manager to drive execution across some of Curb’s most complex work: multi-party platform integrations and new market launches.

This is a hands-on, execution-first role. You’ll translate requirements into specs, build test plans, debug integrations, and coordinate launches — while using AI tools to accelerate learning, surface insights, and build automation that improves system reliability and marketplace performance.

As you master the fundamentals, you’ll increasingly shape how AI is used to make our platform faster, smarter, and more resilient.

What You’ll Work On

Execution & Integrations

  • Translate partner and internal requirements into clear specs and test plans
  • Validate end-to-end integrations; debug issues across APIs, workflows, and data flows
  • Configure and launch new markets, ensuring operational and technical readiness

AI-Powered Product Operations

  • Use AI tools to analyze logs, performance metrics, and acceptance rates
  • Build lightweight automation that surfaces anomalies, trends, and risks
  • Generate automated insights (e.g., integration health summaries, performance alerts)

Performance & Optimization

  • Analyze ride acceptance, supply-demand balance, and integration reliability
  • Form data-backed hypotheses and work with engineering to improve outcomes

Product Craft & Collaboration

  • Create PRDs, sequence diagrams, API specs, and runbooks (AI-accelerated)
  • Coordinate across engineering, QA, operations, and external partners
  • Keep complex, fast-moving initiatives unblocked and on track

Who Thrives in This Role

You use AI as a force multiplier

You already rely on AI tools to learn faster, analyze data, and get unstuck — and you’re excited to push that further in a real production environment.

You bring order to chaos

When multiple launches, bugs, and partner dependencies collide, you build systems that make progress visible and manageable.

You learn aggressively and systematically

You might not know a domain on day one, but within weeks you’re debugging it confidently — using AI to compress the learning curve.

You’re hands-on but systems-minded

You’re comfortable in the weeds today and motivated to build automation that prevents the same problems tomorrow.

You thrive in fast, lean environments

You’re energized by velocity, ambiguity, and responsibility — not slowed down by them.

What You Bring

Required

  • 1–3 years in Product, Product Ops, Technical PM, or implementation-focused roles
  • Experience managing complex technical projects end to end
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, or technical systems
  • Comfort working with data (SQL, Python, Excel, or similar)
  • Active use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) in your workflow

Strongly Valued

  • Experience building automation or internal tooling
  • Marketplace, mobility, logistics, or real-time systems exposure
  • B2B2C or platform product experience
  • Programming or scripting skills (or willingness to learn with AI support)

We care most about

  • How you use AI to multiply impact
  • How you organize work under pressure
  • How quickly and independently you learn
  • Whether you take ownership or wait for direction
