Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our team. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal surfaces using specialized equipment and techniques. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Operate powder coating equipment to apply coatings evenly and accurately
- Monitor and adjust coating parameters to ensure proper thickness and coverage
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Powder Coater or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using power tools, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools
- Knowledge of auto painting techniques and basic math skills
- Familiarity with auto body repair and lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Ability to fabricate and weld metal components is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physically capable of materials handling, including lifting up to 50 pounds
