Position Summary
Our dynamic and growing outpatient orthopedic clinic is on the lookout for a passionate and diligent Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our proficient team! The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in the care of patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and women’s health-related conditions. We are dedicated to aiding patients in reaching their functional and wellness goals and providing top-notch manual treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out individualized treatment plans focused on pelvic health, pre/postnatal care, and general orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Guide patients through corrective exercises, mobility drills, and functional movement patterns.
- Document patient performance and collaborate with the PT to adjust plans as needed.
- Foster a welcoming and respectful environment, particularly for patients navigating sensitive health issues.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and wellness strategies.
- Support clinic cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
- Manage a balanced caseload. Treat an average of 11-12 patients per day with one on one dedicated time with each patient.
- Deliver high-quality manual and non-manual therapy treatments.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Utah PTA license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
- Current CPR certification (or willing to complete before hire).
- Passion for women's health and orthopedic care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation
- Basic internet navigation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in women’s health physical therapy or pelvic floor rehab.
- Prior outpatient orthopedic experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a bonus, but not required.
