<>Position Overview

We re looking for a Senior Java Consultant with a strong focus on front-end development using Angular and extensive experience working in cloud-native AWS environments. This is a consultant-style role ideal for professionals who bring both technical leadership and solution-oriented thinking to enterprise client engagements. Must be based in the DC metro area no exceptions or relocations accepted.

<>What You'll Do

As a client-facing senior consultant, you'll play a strategic role in delivering full-stack solutions while acting as a subject matter expert on Angular development and AWS-based deployment pipelines. You will:

• Lead development of scalable front-end applications using Angular 8 , TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.

• Design and integrate RESTful services with Java backend components using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and J2EE.

• Architect and implement microservices and distributed application solutions in AWS, leveraging:

  • AWS Lambda, API Gateway

  • CodeBuild, CodeCommit, CodePipeline

  • CloudFormation, YAML, Serverless Framework

• Facilitate seamless integration with enterprise systems using SOAP/REST APIs, JMS, and secure file/data transfer protocols.

• Work within Agile/Scrum environments, managing sprint deliverables, participating in planning meetings, and mentoring junior developers when needed.

• Apply consultant best practices by providing technical guidance, identifying efficiencies, and aligning delivery with client goals.

<>Ideal Candidate Profile

• 12 years of progressive Java lead development experience or 9 years for the mid-level candidate

• Proven Angular expertise this is a front-end-forward role (React experience is not applicable here).

• Strong AWS engineering background with hands-on DevOps skills (CI/CD pipelines, serverless architecture).

• Solid understanding of application integration patterns and enterprise middleware technologies.

• Comfortable acting as a client-facing consultant, proactively offering recommendations and communicating with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Must be currently located in the DC area this is a hybrid role with required onsite presence.
