QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma /GED, required. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited College or University preferred.
2. Must have five (5) years' experience in facility operations or maintenance departments required with a minimum of three (3) years' supervisory experience required.
3. Working knowledge of personal computer software.
4. Strong organizational and communication skills.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
7. Ability to diagnose and repair problems.
8. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
9. Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
10.Ability to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks.
11.Ability to manage a staff.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
260 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$29.33/HS12
Additional $1.00 per hour flex pay will be added to salary.
Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2022-2023
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee custodians full and part-time staff ensuring event conversions and event and regular building cleanups are completed accurately, safely, thoroughly, and on schedule.
2. Assist with hiring and evaluating personnel.
3. Document and report equipment damage or misuse.
4. Assess current building safety, storage, and maintenance needs and make recommendations to the Director of the VPAC and Mark Henry Admin. Building.
5. Perform light building maintenance and or repairs on items as needed, coordinate with CFISD Maintenance department and outside contractors to facilitate all maintenance and repairs of the facility.
6. Coordinate grounds, irrigation, and lake management of facility.
7. Assist with scheduling of HVAC and fire alarm system reporting.
8. Assemble and maintain a reference library of plans, specifications, and technical manuals from architects, contractors, and manufacturers.
9. Assist with the annual operating budget, recommend the purchase of equipment, and supplies and prepare specifications for purchases as needed.
10.Assist with ordering supplies and products for custodial.
11.Prepare, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for equipment in the building.
12.May work irregular hours and respond to after-hour emergency calls.
13.Solicit bid/quotes for operational repairs and supplies.
14.Coordinate and schedule Building preventative maintenance programs.
15.Other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of the VPAC and Mark Henry Administration Building.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Must be able to work outside in all seasons. Must be available to work different schedules or shifts including nights, weekends and holidays subject to 24-hour responsibility. Must maintain emotional control under stress. Possess ability to work alone, to keep information confidential and able to drive a district vehicle.
