Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirements.
• Must be able to speak and understand the English language.
  
  

SALARY/PAY GRADE

$16.76/HV3

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.

Essential Functions

• Perform work in a thorough and neat manor in accordance with industry standards codes and laws.
• Perform HVAC filter changing throughout the District as required.
• Responsible for maintaining assigned equipment in a clean, first class, efficient operating condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand building floor plans and maps.
• Maintain filter replacement schedule.
• Complete work order paperwork daily.
• Maintain and update filter information as needed.
• Maintain truck inventory of filters.
• Place filter orders for all district facilities.
• Follow department procedures for PPE and Safety.
• Update Foreman to any equipment deficiencies observed.
• Good written and oral communication.
• Performs other duties as assigned by superiors.
  
  

Physical Demands/Working Conditions For All Hvac Positions

• Able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
• Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks.
• Be available for after hour demands; subject to 24 hour responsibility.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to work alone.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
• Work well with others.
• Work at heights.
• Physical exposure to cold, heat, dampness, and noise.
• Continuous standing, walking, bending, climbing, crouching, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, lifting and lowering.
• Ability to work appropriately with others in close proximity.
• Ability to use step and extension ladders safely.
• Ability to work around machinery and electrical equipment.
