Tax Administrator
(6 Month Contract)

Overview
We are seeking a temporary Tax Administrator to support the Tax Department for a regional bank by ensuring the accurate and timely filing of Sales & Use Tax returns and Personal Property Tax returns.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Use Tax
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns
- Apply for and obtain new jurisdictional licenses as needed
- Resolve any discrepancies
- Provide sales tax exemption certificates upon request
- Maintain accurate records and respond to inquiries from state and local authorities
- Research and address sales and use tax inquiries from other departments
- Assist with sales tax audits
- Prepare multi-jurisdictional personal property tax returns
- Review state assessments, process bill payments, and invoice customers
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Experience preparing Sales and Use tax returns OR Personal Property tax returns
- Proficient in Excel
- Background in Accounting preferred
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle multiple assignments/returns at once
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc)
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of leasing and/or mortgage industries
- Knowledge of Aspire and/or Lease Plus
- Knowledge of PTMS
- Pay: $20-25/hr($25 is MAX. Compensation can vary depending on experience)
