What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Superintendent position at D&B Construction?
D&B Construction is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team! A successful Assistant Superintendent works with the Superintendent in overseeing the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. The duties of an assistant construction superintendent will vary; however, they can expect to be responsible for assisting with daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site. This position will be based on the jobsite in Dover, DE.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting Superintendent with all construction activities
- Attending office and on-site construction meetings; may have to lead meetings when Superintendent is not available
- Managing and updating the project timeline with Superintendent to ensure contractual deadlines are met
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness
- Ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs
- Taking meeting minutes, upload photographs and update project schedules
- Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals
- Maintaining client satisfaction
Competencies:
- Construction knowledge and ability to read construction contract design documents
- Ability to lead a team of subcontractors and field carpenters
- Proficiency with taking and uploading digital photographs
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Able to follow and understand Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ construction experience
- Valid Driver’s License and own transportation
Preferred:
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
