Job Description

The driver will pick up near and around the Indiana area and drop off in Louisville, KY. We are looking to hire immediately, so if you apply, please be ready to start training as soon as 01/20/24 at 4:30 p.m. If you cannot accommodate this date, please refrain from applying If the ad is still up its cause we are still hiring but plan to start training the same day if called.

The daily work schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 4:45 PM Each day M-F. On Saturday, you will pickup at noon 12pm. Usually take a hour in a half on Saturdays 6 day route and off on Sundays. ​ Again all local pickups, typically demands 2.5 to 3 hours of work per day, finishing at the laboratory around 7:30 PM.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position; therefore, you are solely responsible for tax obligations and all vehicle-related expenses. Your vehicle must maintain a minimum fuel efficiency of 30 MPG; however, vehicles achieving between 25 and 30 MPG will be considered, though our compensation structure prioritizes fuel-efficient vehicles.

The average daily mileage, from pickup to drop-off, is approximately 65 miles.

This role is very easy; picking up small animal samples from start to finish, expect to be done on average 2.5 -3 hours per day, Monday through Friday. And a hour in a half on Saturday. Saturday start times are is noon at 12.

**Compensation**

Your first check will be paid out on your third week (on a Tuesday) for what you worked your first week. Then, weekly thereafter every Friday in the amount of $350 weekly.

**Coverage**

You are hired as a 1099 professional driver; we are not responsible for covering for you under any circumstances. Death in the family, car breakdown, sick - anything - you must get your own route covered by someone 21 years or older. We only pay you; what you pay your backup is between the two of you. As long as you get your route covered, you can take off anytime you want. This supplementary role is for individuals seeking additional income. If your primary goal is high earnings, this position is not suitable.

• This route is straightforward; however, independent contractor drivers must ensure route coverage. This is a mandatory requirement, irrespective of circumstances. While you may request coverage from colleagues, we bear no responsibility for securing it. Failure to arrange coverage will result in immediate termination. In such cases, our backup drivers will cover your route, and the associated costs will be deducted from your pay. Whatever deal you and your backup agree to is between you guys, but we only pay you as the main driver.

• What will make you a great fit for this role?
• Do you have a backup driver that will cover you whenever you may need them? Not required but again if you ever plan to take off you will need a cover driver.
• Can you begin training immediately? The training involves following a driver in a company-provided vehicle, observing routes and learning the application. Compensation will be out for training on your first check as well. Immediately meaning the same day, you are possibly called which will be hours before the route starts.
