What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Technician position at D.M. Bowman, Inc.?
D.M. Bowman, Inc's maintenance shop has an immediate need for experienced, full-time Body Shop Technician to join our growing team in Williamsport, MD. Our Body Shop Technician will get the opportunity to perform maintenance and repairs on modern aged tractors.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Complete major and minor cab rebuilds: repair and/or replace cab panel as necessary, complete prep work for sheet metal or sheet molded compound (SMC), etc.
- Conduct major and minor sleeper repair: repairs that can be done with sleeper off of frame
- Be able to do major and minor electrical cab or hood trouble shooting
- Complete hood repair or replacement: fiberglass and sheet molded compound hoods
- Decal letters and stripes
- Complete airshield repair or replacement
- Sandblast and paint trailers
- Must be able to show leadership abilities by helping to train new mechanics
- Keep work area safe and clean
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education:
- Experience with major cab rebuilds preferred
- Experience with major sleeper cab repairs preferred
- Experience with major electrical and hood trouble shooting preferred
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working Environment:
- The technician will be working in our terminal shop/garage in Williamsport, MD
- 45 hour work week. Any hours worked over 40 would be paid as OT.
