Purpose / General Description :

The Sr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for applying a comprehensive technical knowledge to safely, effectively and efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, rebuild and maintain all types of industrial automation equipment and control systems to ensure the equipment is operating at peak efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Maintain automated production equipment : Electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair on 480V 3 phase motor controls, VFD’s, electrical control sensors and switches, PLC I / O sequencing, and PID controls. Mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and rebuilds on filtration systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, steam systems, etc. Operate and maintain tools and equipment necessary for completing tasks in a safe and productive manner, test to ensure that all repairs have been successfully completed and all safety measures restored.
• Install new or rebuilt equipment : Move and install equipment using safe lifting and rigging practices. Set, level, anchor, and align equipment using a variety of tools and precision measuring devices. Install air / water / hydraulic services and control piping then test to ensure installations have been successfully completed and all safety measures implemented.
• Perform installation, construction, rebuild, and repair activities : Install and repair equipment support steel and sheet metal, welding (stick). Operate lifting and rigging equipment, all types of power tools, etc.,
• Maintain / clean work areas : Inspect, maintain, and clean tools and equipment, storage facilities and personnel facilities. Maintain component inventory systems to ensure availability of supplies.
• Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping : Work orders, inspection logs, LOTO, confined space, etc.
• Be an effective team member : Always wear appropriate PPE and work safely, be an example of good behavior. Follow all work processes and policies. Work cooperatively with co-workers
