What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at D1 Training Tucson?
The General Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and daily direction to the sales and coaching teams in the facility. Duties include overseeing day-to-day activities, leading staff, driving membership sales, promoting member retention, and providing conflict resolution as needed. The GM will ensure efficient and effective performance to reach financial objectives, foster core values, establish community relationships to promote the brand and drive local market awareness and engagement activities. The GM's main responsibility is to create an environment that motivates and inspires all to be their best and achieve their goals.
Key Skills Required For Position:
- SALES. You should be able to walk in on day one & close over 50% of the leads you sit down to meet with.
- LEADERSHIP. You should be a first one in, last one out leader. You should be able to hold weekly 1 on 1 meetings, weekly staff meetings, hold staff accountable, & lead your team to business growth. (Must be a strong & confident leader who can handle the pressure of this big-time role.)
- FINANCE. You need to have the ability to manage the facility P&L. You will meet with ownership monthly to review your budget vs what actually happened line item by line item.
This General Manager Can Expect:

Serve as a key point of contact for members, with an emphasis on providing the D1 customer experience. Duties include:
- Assisting with member progress check-ins
- Setting up new memberships in POS system
- Collecting and processing payments
- Providing front desk sales and information
- Assisting with special events
- Managing all sales
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree
- 3 years of management
- Can out-sell anyone in the room & loves it
- Knowledge of gym and retail operations
- Positive and energetic personality with a “can do” attitude
- Is a manager who will be the first one in & the last one to leave
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
