What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal / Steel Fabricators position at D7 Pneumatics Llc?
D7 Pneumatics is looking for Steel Fitters local to the Jasper, Alabama area. We are based in Jasper and would like to support the community with local trades. The shop is located at 1700 10th Ave. Work shift would be Monday to Friday. 8-10 hours daily. Possible weekend work.
Must have a valid Driver's License and able to commute to work each day. Commute must be within a 1 hour driving radius. No compensation for daily travel time and the ability to be at work each day on time is important.
Potential for short term out of town work with Field Mechanical Crews when required. Travel & Per Diem will be provided.
Must possess a Safety Minded work culture and adhere to all safety processes and requirements.
Must have a great working attitude and Team Player attitude.
Care about quality of the product being built.
Willing to work with and mentor new young employees just coming into the workforce.
Experience in Structural Steel layout, Fabrication and welding
Experience in fabrication of Sawmill Equipment an asset but not required.
Experience in a Fab Shop environment an asset.
Ability to read and interpret Structural & Mechanical Blueprints.
Operation of a 65 Ton Ironworker
Operation of Mobile Forklift equipment. Training and certifications an asset but not required.
AWS D1.1 welding certification in SMAW and FCAW all positions an asset.
Possess the trades hand tools required for Steel Fabrication and welding.
In person interviews will be held before hiring.
Pay rate determined on experience level and ability.
90 Day probationary period will be implemented with each new employee to assess experience levels.
