THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST II

THE SCHEDULE:

While working with our local government, you can anticipate a schedule of 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with some work required outside of business hours.

YOUR ROLE:

As an IT Support Specialist II, you're the go-to problem-solver, tackling technical challenges for users across county departments with confidence and expertise. You dive into assembling sleek new computer systems and keep the existing inventory in tip-top shape. When a workstation acts up, you step in, diagnosing issues like a tech detective and deciding whether it needs repair or replacement. Security threat? No problem-you're on it, implementing swift measures to keep systems safe and sound. You also roll up your sleeves for database and network projects, playing a key role in keeping everything running seamlessly. Every day, you bring the energy to ensure the county's tech is at its best!

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree in computer science or related field
• 3 years of experience performing related duties

OR

• An equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet browsers, Xerox hardware, and software specific to county departments
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems, including word processing, operating system fundamentals, and data communication concepts
• Thorough understanding of personal computer hardware and software configurations, capabilities, and troubleshooting
• Expertise in keyboard operations, as well as office practices and documentation procedures
