Responsibilities
Position summary:
Produces laser cuts for fabrication processes by setting up, programming, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machine in a safe, productive manner, ensuring all quality standards are met or exceeded.
Responsibilites include but are not limited to:
Operating single or multiple CNC laser cutting machines, including loading raw material and ensuring quality by maintaining focal point adj ustment, feed rate, power, and other parameters.
Ensures machine optics are maintained by performing tests and procedures , including tape shots, lens focusing, lens cleaning, nozzle cleaning , and replacement of any worn items.
L abels finished parts accurately and delivers them to designated area s.
Monitors laser operations to ensure machine is fu nctioning properly and safely; r ecords machine code errors and communicates perfor mance issues to the supervisor.
Uses inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers , and tape measure s.
Deburrs and cleans parts.
Maintains qu ality, productivity, and safety records.
Maintains supplies and performs regular preventive maintenance.
Assists other operators with operating, inspect ing, and clean ing machines and parts.
Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Minimum Of 2 Year s Of CNC Operating Experience
Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operations
Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good time management skills
Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
Team-oriented and collaborative
LOTO certification required
Crane operation certification required
Forklift operation certification required
