Daikin Applied is seeking a Facilities Technician III whose is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the organization's facilities, systems, or equipment. This person will:
- Ensure work is performed in a timely manner, and triage requests to prioritize the most critical repairs.
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance or as-needed repairs on facilities or systems, which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC or other environmental management systems, generators or power management systems, or fire/safety systems.
- Make repairs and coordinate the work of specialists when more complex repairs are needed.
- Schedule maintenance or repairs to minimize disruptions to organizational operations wherever possible.
- Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- May act as a lead.
What you will do:
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Respond to and troubleshoot maintenance requests involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement.
- Perform all scheduled maintenance as established in the maintenance system, and provides input into new maintenance schedules as equipment/facilities are added or changed.
- Maintain boiler(s) where applicable.
- Maintain kitchen equipment such as ice makers, dishwashers, coolers, etc.
- Maintain the facility’s phone and data cabling.
- Maintain building and grounds as needed.
- Direct and work alongside contractors, as needed.
- Set up tables and chairs as well as conference room setups.
- Move and set up workstations/offices.
- Maintain the facility’s water softener system.
- Submit purchase order requisitions for parts.
- Ensure facilities comply with all environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in activities related to internal and external environmental audits.
- Respond to emergencies and support after-hours facility needs and activities as required.
- Observe and comply with Company safety procedures at all times.

- Two-year Associate degree in maintenance-related subject matter
- 4 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification
- State issued Boiler license preferred
