Summary:

The Warehouse and Production Manager at Dairy Connection, Inc. is responsible for overseeing two essential operations: distribution and repackaging. This hands-on leadership role ensures inventory is accurately processed, order fulfillment stays on schedule, and warehouse activities are efficient, safe, and compliant with both food safety and OSHA standards. The Manager leads a small team, setting productivity goals, implementing organizational systems, and ensuring effective communication across departments including customer service, purchasing, operations, and product management.

A working knowledge of packaging equipment—such as sealers, labelers, and scales—is necessary to maintain consistent repackaging operations. The Manager is also responsible for creating and maintaining written procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promoting a culture of safety and accountability.

Due to the collaborative nature of our small business, the Manager will also assist in order fulfillment and repackaging activities when needed and is encouraged to lead or support continuous improvement efforts across the operation.

· Meet regularly with team members to review productivity, address challenges, and implement improvements.

· Coordinate logistics for outgoing shipments, ensuring efficient and timely delivery by communicating with carriers and internal departments.

· Stay current with federal and state safety regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

· Collaborate with internal departments to support food safety standards and compliance, including Customer Service, Product Management, Technical Sales, and Compliance.

· Train new and existing employees on processes, equipment, and food safety policies, including ongoing updates and revisions.

· Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to process optimization, equipment upgrades, or layout planning.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse or production environment.

· Supervisory experience with the ability to lead, train, and motivate a small team.

· Strong understanding of warehouse logistics, order fulfillment, and repackaging workflows.

· Working knowledge of packaging equipment such as sealers, labelers, and scales.

· Ability to create and maintain OSHA-compliant procedures and ensure workplace safety practices.

· Familiarity with food safety terminology and a willingness to engage with regulatory standards.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds multiple times per day and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

· Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn and use ERP systems for inventory and order management.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
