What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Business Intelligence Developer position at Daisy Brand?
The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for conceptualization to implementation of data solutions from database through data warehousing, reporting and analytic solutions for the enterprise. This developer will be a strong problem solver, using their curiosity and technical skills to analyze trends, work with department leadership to raise data literacy and put science into decision-making. The Business Intelligence team responsible for supporting internal/external reporting, ad-hoc reporting, and on-demand analytics for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner and communicate effectively across and within multiple departments with stakeholders to review business requirements, propose, and develop solutions.
- Build trusted relationships within all areas of the organization acting as conduit of knowledge.
- Design, develop and deploy Tableau-based analytics products that enable a broad and diverse set of users to navigate data efficiently and effectively.
- Document standards and best practices for the design, development, and management of Tableau dashboards.
- Administer and support a multi-tier Tableau infrastructure create and manage groups, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources and data connections.
- Identify data quality issues and work with appropriate teams to resolve them.
- Conduct analysis workshops and other requirement gathering exercises to understand the business needs or opportunities.
- Ensure maintenance of data integrity and ongoing quality of delivered solutions.
- Oversee and conduct analysis, design, implementation, and support of the company data warehouse which may include developing ETL routines using appropriate tools.
- Stay informed on technology and trends related to database management and business intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer engineering, computer science, etc. (Master’s degree a plus)
- 10 years relevant experience
- Requires strong knowledge of database best practices, data security, SQL (T-SQL), SSIS
- Requires strong knowledge of Tableau dashboard development, Data Visualization concepts, and Tableau Administration/Automation.
- Requires strong knowledge of Data Architectures and Data Modeling.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mind, critical thinker, and problem solver.
- Proven experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
- Two or three days a week remote with Monday and Thursday in office each week. Initially start with 4 days in the office for first month.
