Quotations Specialist - Plumbing

Dakota Supply Group (DSG) is seeking a Quotations Specialist in our Sioux Falls, SD or Rapid City, SD location. The Quotations Specialist will be a Monday-Friday, Full-Time, hourly position. This position is responsible for developing quotations for plumbing projects.

Specific Duties of the Quotations Specialists:

• Review bid reports, solicit sales team feedback, and elicit direct customer feedback to determine plumbing quotation opportunities.
• Obtain or view plans via electronic plans exchange project plans and specifications to perform takeoff
• Review specified products and determine if it is material we can provide or quote equivalent substitutes
• Track, monitor, and maintain an orderly quotation file and record of jobs quoted.
• Contact and negotiate with vendors for special terms and pricing for supplies and materials regarding quoted projects
• Follow up with sales and quoted customers to determine awarded project contractor to secure the sale of the project
• Assist in the preparation and assembly of submittals for approval
• Address all customer complaints and/or inquiries promptly so as to ensure equitable resolutions to maximize customer satisfaction
• Write up the orders for customer materials, confirm delivery dates, and release orders to meet project requirements
• Provide technical support to associates and customers
• Obtain and select open bid reports and sales feedback to determine quotation opportunities
• Develop estimates of material quantities and provides price quotations on plumbing industrial, commercial and construction projects in a timely and professionally presented manner
• Other duties as assigned

Quotations Specialists Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, with secondary or post-secondary coursework concentrated in a related field, or equivalent on the job experience as determined by the company.
• Some plumbing technical knowledge and/or field experience Must be sales oriented and driven to succeed in a highly competitive market
• Strong ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with customers and vendors.
• Prior computer knowledge, experience and skills helpful.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, including phone skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
• Ability to flourish in a fast-paced work environment
