Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team and play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of data center projects. Responsibilities

As a Senior Planner, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for data center construction and operational projects.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Analyzing project data to provide accurate forecasts and reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Continuously improving planning processes and tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning, with a focus on data center or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of data center operations and construction processes is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are a plus.

Day-to-Day

In This Role, Your Day-to-day Activities Will Include

  • Reviewing and updating project schedules to reflect current progress and changes.
  • Attending project meetings to provide updates on timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinating with team members to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure resource availability.
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and address any on-site planning issues.
  • Collaborating with contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices in project planning.
