Kennel Assistant

Dallas Animal Clinic, located in Dallas, Oregon is looking for an Animal Care Technician to join our kennel team! In this role, you will be cross trained to assist the reception and medical teams in addition to your kennel duties. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining the experience to jump starting their career in veterinary medicine!

This is a flexible full-time position with a rotating schedule that includes coverage on some weekends.

Candidates must be open to cross-training and assisting the reception and medical team, and available to work weekends and holidays.

Some of the responsibilities for this role:

• Gentle patient handling and restraint
• Assisting medical team with hospital patients
• Client communication and education
• Client service including answering phones and greeting clients
• Care for boarding pets including feeding and administering medications
• Cleaning and disinfection of the hospital

• Full time benefits and compensation:
• $15.50 - $16.50/hour, based on experience
