Pay Range: $79,000 - $110,000/year (based on experience) Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Nurse Manager to lead the daily operations and clinical functions of the Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center. This role oversees a team of 45 direct reports within a department comprising 73 FTEs, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily workflow, staffing, and overall operations of the Emergency Department.

Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and standards of care to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.

Manage personnel activities, including interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff.

Provide consistent leadership and expertise to support the nursing team in delivering exceptional care.

Address patient, visitor, or physician complaints professionally and promptly.

Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to improve patient care delivery.

Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure compliance with unit-specific standards of care.

Handle department goals, safety procedures, and operational workflows effectively.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required)

Master's Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Licensure:

Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State RN license

Certifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire

Experience:

Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical leadership experience (required)

Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (required)

• Trauma Level: III
• Team Structure: 45 direct reports, 73 total FTEs (including PRN staff)
