Job Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with front-line supervisors to assist with metric deployment
- Create, maintain and distribute plant-wide lean metrics
- Coordinate training schedules with support areas
- Assist with the development of Current/Future State maps
- Facilitate lean training, and support direct reports with facilitating trainings
- Participate in the implementation of the plant’s 6-S process
- Co-develop training and developmental materials to include job aids/single point lessons
- Participate in the identification and elimination of waste in the plant
- Co-facilitate Kaizen Blitzes
- Assist with the development of value stream maps
- Facilitate team meetings
- Support lean implementation on off-shifts
- Train and coach employees
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Ability to interact with all levels in the plant
- Minimum of three years manufacturing experience; at least one year in leadership role required
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Quick and enthusiastic learner
- Understanding of lean concepts
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Excel proficiency (spreadsheet development a must) and Lotus Notes
- Skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and AutoCAD preferred
