The Category Manager controls the spend for Danfoss Power Solutions for various commodities including powdered metal, casted aluminum, turned parts, and hot forgings. The scope of spend for the position is 30-50 million Euros. In this role, you will develop and execute strategies to ensure North America's suppliers have the best cost and technology to meet Danfoss' growing business. The position reports to the Director of Category Management Hydrostatics. Candidates applying should have experience in the commodity with strong business acumen and negotiation skills. This is a position that can be done remotely.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following : Develop and implement supplier strategies for all suppliers responsible.Lead value-based negotiations with suppliers annually in cooperation with business.Manage escalated supplier topics including performance, capacity, and risk management.Ensure compliance for contract and certifications.
