As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for managing the flow of guests in and out of the restaurant, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well-cared for.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and welcome them to the restaurant
- Manage the waiting list and ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner
- Take reservations and manage the reservation book
- Communicate effectively with guests, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Handle phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including the host stand
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest leaves the restaurant feeling satisfied
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to provide an exceptional dining experience
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, serving as a representative of the restaurant
Qualifications
- Experience in the food service industry, preferably in a restaurant environment
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for hospitality
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Basic computer skills and experience with RESY
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to handle phone calls professionally
- Ability to assist with guest services and relations
