What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Assistant position at Danner Family Grain?
Located in West Liberty, Iowa, Danner Family Grain is a 5th generation family-owned Non- GMO Soybean and Non-GMO corn operation. In addition, we have both wean to finish and feeder to finish hog barns on site.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations Assistant to assist in all aspects of the operation. This position is full-time, year-round.
The Operations Assistant will work closely with the Operations Manager/Owner to accomplish goals as they relate to both the crop and livestock areas of the operation. This includes but is not limited to: tillage, grain cart operation, spraying, grain hauling, equipment operation and maintenance (including irrigation), swine chores and facility upkeep.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 year’s crop and livestock operations experience
o Application/Sprayer experience and certification is desired
- Class A CDL is preferred, or the ability to successfully obtain within a specific period
o MUST maintain a valid driver’s license
- Proficient in the use of farm equipment technology, specifically, John Deere monitors and precision technology is desired
