Lease Operator

Overview

 Imagine yourself as a Lease Operator, responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations, and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations. You will conduct daily monitoring of multiple well sites, perform mandatory paperwork, and ensure safe work practices while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties. 

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, and surveillance of general field operations. 
• You will handle non-scheduled call-outs outside normal business hours. 
• You will work with various types of wells including flowing, beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), plunger lift, water injection, and water disposal. 
• You will manage facilities including production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, water injection plants, natural gas compression, cathodic protection, and metering devices (electronic gas measurement and others). 
• You will perform your job employing safe work practices while utilizing acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties. 
• You will conduct daily monitoring of multiple well sites by vehicle. 
• You will test, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment and mechanical problems. 
• You will perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and regulatory agencies. 
• You will handle general housekeeping and field maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Oil & Gas Lease Operator experience is a must; demonstrated knowledge of all well types needed. 
• Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations is required. 
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision. 
• Local candidates preferred to be in Mentone, Pecos, Pyote, and Wink, Texas area. Housing provided for candidates outside of radius.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Some college or technical training preferred. 
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record required. 
• Must be able to pass all conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug screening, hair follicle test, MVR, agility, and fit for duty.
