Job Description:
Are you ready to bring creativity to life with every print? We're seeking a talented Digital Operator – 3rd shift to join our team and ensure our stunning marketing materials are printed without flaw. The Digital Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating projects on I-Gen, Docutech, HP Indigo, and Océ 4 color roll-fed press. If you have a passion for precision and an eye for detail, this is the role for you!
Requirements
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Quality control – checking finished products for error-free material.
- Set up and run multiple machines independently.
- Maintain and order printing supplies for the department.
- Trouble-shoot and add input for corrections.
- Interact with all levels of management.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ensuring that all equipment used is correctly maintained.
- Responsible for managing print requests.
- Collect and inspect random samples during print runs to identify any necessary adjustments.
- Change press belts, rollers, or consumable materials, as required.
Requirements/Essential Functions:
- Must be able to manage each job from start to completion.
- Able to lift 10 lb. reams of paper.
- Able to lift 25 lb. paper shift.
- Able to roll and spin 800-1000 lb. rolls of paper into position.
Qualifications:
- Docutech and I-Gen experience. A strong mechanical background is a plus.
- HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press experience is a plus.
- Océ 4 Color Roll-Fed Press experience is a plus.
- Xerox Free-Flow work management and ACT training are also a plus.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Intermittent bending up to 3 hours.
Ability to Relocate:
- Hillside, IL 60162: Relocate before starting work (Required)
