SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant is part of the team responsible for the monthly close, consolidation, reporting, and financial analysis processes for multiple entities. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will have daily accounting and administrative tasks as well as being responsible for longer term projects and ad hoc analysis and reporting. This position reports to the Controller and will not have direct reports.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in accurate and timely monthly close and reporting
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Provide monthly and ad hoc financial reporting
- Lead various accounting related projects to improve accounting and business processes
- Complete various daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual governmental filings and other administrative tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- At least three years of experience in a Staff or Senior role
- A solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Reliable and extremely trustworthy
- Excellent at organization and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and software systems in general
- Able to maintain confidential and meticulous records
- Available to work in the office one day each week and three days every other week, with a hybrid option the rest of the days
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
Qualifications Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience utilizing generally accepted accounting principles
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting; CPA a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public accounting experience a plus

There is little to no travel required for the role of Senior Accountant.
