Firmware Engineer

Overview

DDN (DataDirect Networks) Technical Center located in Colorado Springs, CO. is seeking a Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for high performance storage products.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and unit test firmware features
• Triage, analyze, and resolve firmware issues
• Write design documents and test cases
• Collaborate with local and remote team members

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field (computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline) or comparable work experience
• Entry-level to 5 years of experience with embedded firmware development.
• Experience in C would be beneficial.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Perl, Python, or assembly language
• Experience with phases of the development life cycle
• Experience with agile development processes and scrum teams
• Experience with cross-site development
• Experience with source code control and defect tracking systems
