DDN (DataDirect Networks) Technical Center located in Colorado Springs, CO. is seeking a Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for high performance storage products.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and unit test firmware features
- Triage, analyze, and resolve firmware issues
- Write design documents and test cases
- Collaborate with local and remote team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field (computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline) or comparable work experience
- Entry-level to 5 years of experience with embedded firmware development.
- Experience in C would be beneficial.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in Perl, Python, or assembly language
- Experience with phases of the development life cycle
- Experience with agile development processes and scrum teams
- Experience with cross-site development
- Experience with source code control and defect tracking systems
