Job Summary:

The Technical Project Manager will support the development of client solutions, scheduling and advocating for identified necessary resources, assessment of client readiness, and tracking both pre- and post-delivery timelines and outcomes. The ideal candidate thrives on detail-oriented work and doesn’t just follow systems in place but creates their own to solve the unique needs of the client. As this position will help support federal contracts with security requirements, you must be a US Citizen to qualify.

Responsibilities:

  • Write content, prepare briefs, conduct discovery interviews, create marketing segments, and participate in pitches to senior external stakeholders.
  • Create and manage meetings, including disseminating meeting links, transcription of notes, and occasionally supporting work.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders inside and outside the organization and identify critical paths well in advance to preserve the project timeline.
  • Update appropriate systems and stakeholders, including regular use of Jira and Google tool suites.
  • Support and collaborate with the project team to meet workflow, creation timetables, and deliverables.
  • Determine and define technical project scope and objectives for deliverables.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and allocate resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Work with team leaders to prepare and manage a budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan which can be used to measure successful outcomes.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement, driving agile performance that is able to respond mid-process to the needs of clients while preventing scope creep.
  • Support the project and engage in tasks at all levels to assist key team members.
  • Utilize popular and relevant technologies, applied methodologies, and development models.

Skills and Experience Required: 

  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Scinece, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years in a field related to technology.
  • At least 3 years in a project management or support role.
  • Excellent time management and project organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with all Microsoft Office, Zoom, Jira, and Google applications.

This position is flexible to be remote anywhere within the USA, though preference will be given to candidates in the metro Richmond, VA or Washington, DC areas. Salary will be between $150,000 - $180,000 per year. In addition, this position will be eligible for full benefits including Unlimited PTO, 17 paid holidays in 2023, Healthcare, 401k, Metro Transit subsidy, Paid Parental Leave, and Paid Disability.
