What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Representative position at DataXstream?
A sales development representative (SDR) is an inside sales representative that focuses on outreach, prospecting, and lead qualification.
The main responsibilities of an SDR are:
- Connect with as many leads as possible
- Educate and qualify the leads they connect with
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead qualification and list management
- Lead qualifications consists of qualifying leads and potential customers based on revenue, industry, and system infrastructure criteria.
- List management consists of the very same criteria but will come as lists from webinar events, partner leads, etc.
- Sales Support/Pre-Sales Activities
- Lead scoring as discussed above
- Base account knowledge
- HubSpot workflow inquiry request approval through website and store
- Initial Discovery calls with responding inquiries asking initial qualifying questions, noting in HubSpot, pushing accordingly into the sales pipeline
- Prospecting
- Prospecting effort may include social media message reach outs, cold calling, and email efforts in the form of direct customer reach-out and partner account strategy.
- Marketing Support
- As needed, sales development will provide support to the marketing team in the form of blogs, infographics, social media maintenance and post push-outs.
- Assist in HubSpot contact management, email marketing, and surveys.
- Social Selling
- Active on professional social channels
- Supportive of company social campaigns
Be proficient in or willing to become proficient in Microsoft Office applications, HubSpot, Camtasia, Canva, Survey Monkey
This position works closely with the marketing department which operates out of the office at HQ in Williamsburg VA. Preference will be given to candidates able to work at the Williamsburg Office; hybrid or remote arrangements will be considered on a case by case basis.
