Strategic Responsibility:
The CFO is responsible for all fiscal functions of David C Cook. A trusted advisor to the Board of Trustees and reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will serve on the executive leadership team.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will articipate in setting overall strategic direction for David C Cook and Integrity Music’s aggressive growth objectives via Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures and Organic Initiatives. Develop short and long-term strategic financial insights to support David C Cook’s mission. Assist senior management in financial planning, results management and fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment. Present regularly to the executive leadership team, Board of Directors, and external authorities
The CFO also oversees the operations of the accounting, tax, and/or financial reporting functions to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance (including GAAP, FASB), and the intricacies of church & religious organizations and 501(c)(3) status.

Job Description:
Ensure all financial activities align with the ministry’s mission, vision, and values. Support the development and implementation of programs that further the ministry’s objectives. Engage with the broader ministry community to understand financial needs and priorities.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the ministry's mission and goals. Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Provide strategic recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors based on financial analysis and projections.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes. Present financial reports to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
Monitor and manage the ministry’s budget, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Implement cost control measures and identify areas for financial efficiency and savings. Oversee the allocation and tracking of funds for various programs and initiatives. Establishing and maintaining operating budgets and regularly reports on actuals versus forecasted revenues, profits, or losses, cash flow and investment activity
Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Staffing, budgeting, and managing the day-to-day services of the finance and accounting teams.
Reviewing and improving finance and accounting processes and procedure.
Leading research and due diligence activities regarding possible mergers and acquisitions to enhance David C Cook/Integrity Music products and services.
Work closely with other departments to ensure financial considerations are integrated into all aspects of the ministry’s operations. Communicate financial information and insights clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders. Participate in strategic planning and organizational development initiatives. Evaluating and presenting risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard the ministry’s assets. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and standards. Coordinate audits and reviews, addressing any findings or recommendations.
Oversee the ministry’s investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with financial goals and risk tolerance. Manage relationships with investment advisors and financial institutions. Monitor investment performance and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Formal Education: Master’s Degree in finance, accounting, MBA, or related field required. CPA and/or CMA highly preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated leader offering over 15 years of progressive experience. Merger and acquisition and finance experience, including post acquisition integration experience. Proven experience in developing a high-performance team and driving positive organizational change.
Specialized Knowledge/Certification: Strong business intuition and ability to perceive how financial data relates to operational decisions. Ability to drive strategic direction and build collaborative relationships Excellent written and verbal communication, management and leadership skills
Equipment Knowledge: Mac and PC Computers. General office equipment.

Working Conditions:
- Comfortable working conditions, handling light weight, intermittent sitting, standing and walking.

- Normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) are typical but must have a willingness and flexibility to work during evenings and weekends if/when necessary.
