The High School Spanish Teacher will guide the learning process to achieve established district curriculum goals and establish and communicate clear objectives to the students for all lessons, units, and projects. They will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Spanish language instruction to students in grades 9-12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill curriculum requirements and state standards.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and support different learning styles.
- Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance language learning.
- Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Establish clear expectations for student behavior and manage classroom discipline effectively.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student performance and attendance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language teaching.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Adhere to school policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
