What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Daviess Community Hospital?
Job Description
- Greets all patients and guests in initiating check-in process.
- Obtains and verifies accurate patient identification & demographic data to confirm or update the patient's record while maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Is responsible for completing eligibility of insurances presented and possibly offering some financial counseling as well as conducting point-of-service collections.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in office or hospital setting
- Excellent customer and clerical experience a must
- Must be able to multi-task while being detail-oriented, organized, exhibit time management skills and efficiency
- Computer skills with ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Must be team-oriented but able to work independently
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods & repetitively
- Experience with billing and insurance is preferred
