Our client, a world leader in Consumer Electronic Products and Services, is looking for a Sr. System Test Automation Engineer. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in Systems Test Automation. The position is part of the Product Service/Operations Engineering Team responsible for ensuring the next generation of products (phones, tablets etc.) can be delivered in a way that will continue to delight customers. In this position, you will be responsible for testing, monitoring and sustaining software solutions.
Job Title : Sr. System Test Automation Engineer
Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility of conversion to Full Time)
Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design test plans, and define test strategies
- Build, enhance and maintain test automation system
- Enhance and maintain build and release system
- Modify and execute tests for validation of hardware and software features
- Work with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to root cause and resolve hardware and fixture issues
- Triage problems, hardware debugging and identifying root cause
- Provide test reports to engineering, operations, and management
Education & Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices
- Proficient with Bash, Python, or similar scripting language is required
- Strong knowledge of Python libraries – File IO, SSH, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib
- Work experience with Regular Expressions, and Virtual Environment
- Understanding of networking and operating system concepts is required
- Understanding of C/C /Objective C code is a plus
- Strong ability to create reports on progress & track issues
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering and
- other teams to achieve team goals
- Open to travel – international; domestic (20%, once a quarter)
