What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grade Checker/Operator/Laborer position at Dawson’s Lawn Care & Landscaping?
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled individual to join our team. As a Grade Checker/Laborer/Operator, you will be assigned to a variety of services with our project and machine work crew. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Some of the main projects you will be apart of are retaining walls, concrete, grading, paver patios, landscape install, etc.
Duties:
- Perform all work to a high quality, professional level
- Use precision measuring instruments such as laser levels to verify dimensions
- Read and interpret design, CAD drawings, or other documents involved
- Verify and approve quality of work previously completed before moving onto the next project/stage
-Provide what is needed for the team to operate effective and efficiently
- Assist with installation of materials on properties
- Operate equipment as/if needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or defects in the install/work completed
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with machine operations
- Ability to read and interpret designs, CAD drawings, or technical documents
-Have a reliable way of transportation to and from work
