VDC/BIM COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
A. Daily Job Duties
§ Develop renderings and logistics plans to be included within proposals for upcoming projects.
§ Effectively utilize CAD software to produce 2D, 3D, and 4D construction coordination models used for construction sequencing, quantity take-off, and logistics planning for preconstruction planning and construction execution.
§ Exercise considerable skill decision-making in the use of graphics commands and preprogrammed material to develop drawings to aid in the design and construction of our projects.
§ Independently enhance DCBA’s VDC efforts for projects by developing 2D plans and 3D models used for quantity calculations, proposal graphics, and animations.
§ Provide timely services that meet the needs of the clients and the overall project schedule requirements.
§ Support all design disciplines (architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering).
Visits to various sites around New England may be required. Must be able to climb permanent and temporary stairs, climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; be exposed to moving mechanical parts; mobile and stationary cranes; elevated structures; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

B. Education
§ Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
C. Minimum Related Prior Experience
§ 1-2 Years Construction or Engineering Experience is desired.
§ 1-3 years of experience with 3/D Modeling/ BIM software in the architecture, building construction or engineering industry.
§ Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Adobe Suite products, and Bluebeam experience and proficiency.
D. Preferred Special Skills
§ Ability to accurately calculate quantities.
§ Ability to multi-task, perform quickly and effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
§ Ability to quickly learn and run new software and updated programs.
§ Basic understanding of the construction process.
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
§ Knowledge of:
§ Adobe Creative Suite
§ Microsoft Office
§ Construction collaboration software, i.e., Procore
§ Strong organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
