Summary/Objective:

The Client Business Manager is responsible for the initiation and execution of all marketing, creative, media and digital projects for the brands.  The Client Business Manager is the client’s main contact with the agency on a day-to-day basis and is the representative within the agency for the interests of the brand.  The position entails a wide variety of functions which are outlined below.  Provides solutions or services to his/her employer and employer affiliates and subsidiaries.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain active and productive working relationships with client contacts
  2. Responsible to interact with the Creative Team to develop business ideas and solutions for our clients.
  3. Responsible to develop with Creative award-winning ideas at local and international festivals
  4. Coordinates meetings with clients to discuss and identify their communication needs and requirements
  5. Anticipate, and proactively make the Client Business Supervisor/Director aware of any and all expectation issues
  6. Understand the expectations of, and communicate effectively with, all agency team members
  7. Understand the functions and processes of all agency departments following all standard agency policies and procedures
  8. Monitor the work of other agency departments against agreed upon timetables Develop and executes Strategic Plans
  9. Demonstrate unity behind team and agency decision-making
  10. Provide effective and efficient use of agency resources and processes to insure projects are delivered as promised in terms of content, time and budget
  11. Responsible for providing presentation development and/or support in the form of content development, presentation creation, preparation and delivery, as requested
  12. Contribute to the development of project and/or annual client planning documents
  13. Prioritize workflow and managing workloads
  14. Oversees the development of estimates
  15. Manage client/agency budgets and monthly billings/invoices
  16. Enter time on a daily basis (Timesheets)
  17. Responsible for preparing accurate and timely internal communication: conference reports, status reports, job starters, job progress reports, client’s brief and media plan requests
  18. Monitors project estimates vs. time and cost accruals to advise of potential budget issue
  19. Direct all aspects of obtaining necessary approvals
  20. Strategic Thinker with the support of Brand Strategy Planner
  21. Enforces and pursue quality control in details in accomplishing tasks 
  22. Demonstrate a commitment to do whatever is required to get the job done right and with enthusiasm / willingness to go beyond the call of duty
  23. Responsible for working along with planner and account manager to brief media, creative digital and research staff, and assisting with the formulation of marketing strategies
  1. Work with the Client Business Supervisor / Director monitoring and sharing with the team the effectiveness of campaigns
  2. Responsible for coordinating and attending status meetings, conference calls, and/or other agency-client meetings that require any team member presence
  3. Responsible for maintaining the professional and technical knowledge required to perform the duties, especially in the digital space.  
  4. Responsible to be up to date and understand the trends and changes in digital.
  5. Responsible to comply with all companies’ policies as described in the Employee Manual

Preferred Education and Related Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or MBA in advertising, marketing, public relations, communications, journalism or related


A minimum of two years of project coordination or related experience or a minimum of two to four years of product development and/or brand/project management experience (preferably in an agency environment) and at least two years leading day-to-day account


Knowledge and Critical Skills Required: 

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish
  2. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Advantage, Intersoft, and have a working knowledge of all agency presentation equipment)
  3. Strong passion for and knowledge of technology and digital marketing
  4. Proven Critical thinking skills
  5. Familiarity with web standards and accessibility
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, deadlines and prioritize appropriate
  7. The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment 
  8. Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization; social media savvy


Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must meet the physical requirements and occasionally lift around 25/ lbs., if support is needed, agency will provide a hand truck or any additional help.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
