Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Full-time Medical Receptionist to join the team in our Family Practice! Location: 2002 Foulk Road, Suite D, Wilmington DE 19810 The receptionist supports the practice manager and physicians in fulfilling the mission of St. Francis. The receptionist assists the practice manager and physicians in maintaining a patient / customer focus, supports the delivery of highest quality care, shares a passion for patient and customer centered care, and assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial and operational targets. Responsibilities Include: Schedules appointments and status appointment via NextGen. Scans patient medical records and send messages to the appropriate staff member via Allscripts. Enters daily office charges via NextGen. Verifies insurances via Navinet, DMAP and Passport. Schedules imaging studies via Cerner EMR. Collects / post co-payments, paid on balances and surgical payments via NextGen. Correct claim edits via NextGen. Verifies, copies front and back of insurance card. Performs reconciliation duties. Maintains up to date knowledge of insurance requirements pertinent to patient service and billing procedures. Achieves proficiency in automated systems: Navinet, Telecheck and telephone inquiry systems. Complies with yearly education requirements including HIPPA, OSHA and Safety. Assumes short term responsibilities outside normal duties. Promptly and politely answers phones. Triage calls to the appropriate person via Allscripts. Retrieves voice mail messages from call service center. Takes accurate and detail messages. Produces end of day front end reports. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma required ICD-9 and CPT coding experience Knowledge of medical terminology Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Must possess good communication and customer service skills. Will be scheduling appointments, taking accurate and concise messages as well as checking patients in and out.
