Accounts Receivable Specialist
Electrical Contracting / Construction
We are a busy electrical contractor seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage billing and collections in a fast-paced construction environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining cash flow and supporting project operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customer invoices using Spectrum Construction Software
- Generate progress billings, time & material invoices, and final billings
- Review job data, contracts, quotes, and change orders to ensure accurate billing
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts
- Apply customer payments and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate with customers and internal project teams regarding billing and payments
- Assist with month-end closing and AR reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in accounting is preferred.
- 2 years of accounts receivable experience (construction industry preferred)
- Understanding and experience with OpenInvoice and similar programs.
- Experience with Spectrum Construction Software is a huge plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
