Summary
Dearing is offering a field service technician position to the right candidate. If you possess strong electro-mechanical skills and a desire to develop a challenging career in the industrial service industry we will provide the opportunity.
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, service and support of air compressors, accessories and related compressed air products. Areas of service and support include but are not limited to machine and application troubleshooting, performance evaluation, equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- With a high degree of customer service, install and service air system products
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders, customer contracts, and company forms
- Exhibit professional appearance and conduct and provide customers with excellent customer service
- Ability to build trust quickly; interact and communicate well with customers and coworkers
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations
- Ability to be on call nights and weekends
Qualifications
- Possess mechanics hand tools and be familiar with their use
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license with clean driving/legal history
- Technical knowledge and interpersonal skills typically gained through completion of technical school or other related experience
- Read and comprehend written technical information in the form of technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications is essential
- Understanding of basic electrical theory a plus
- Understanding of basic refrigeration principles a plus
- Ability to read wiring diagrams a plus
- Previous experience servicing industrial equipment a plus
