Summary:

Employee is primarily responsible for the administration of chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusions, patient assessment, management of patient care, and assessment of diagnostic tests (lab, x-ray, etc.). Employee is responsible for clinic visit intake, patient assessment, and care coordination of treatment changes with the patient’s provider. Employee performs assignments according to her or her own judgment, requesting supervisory assistance when necessary.

Work Schedule:

Must be able to occasionally work non-standard hours, including participation in Health Fairs, Support Groups, and other activities sponsored by the Cancer Care & Infusion Services department.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
-
Education
-
ASN or BSN from an accredited School of Nursing.

Experience
-
Oncology experience preferred
-

Computer Skills
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

Must exhibit basic computer knowledge

Certificates & Licenses
-
Current registered nurse license with the State of Indiana and BLS required. Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, Immunotherapy certificate preferred or willing to complete within 120 days of employment.

Other Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, squatting, kneeling, bending, lifting and carrying 0-50 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-40 lbs.
