Deceuninck is seeking a Crew Manager for Crew 1 Day Shift (12 hr shift 2-2-3 schedule)
Responsible for all day-to-day operational activities in multiple departments for his/her crew. The Crew Manager will lead his/her crew to meet daily set targets on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Directly leads a diverse team of Production Supervisors to achieve daily set production goals.
- Has responsibility for the operational safety of his/her crew. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting near misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE, and requiring his/her crew to do the same.
- Executes the production schedule to ensure On Time Delivery of customer orders.
- Reports progress on KPI’s, as instructed by the Plant Manager.
- Ensures quality in the products we produce by focusing on standard operating conditions and by leading the crew to work on root causes and corrective actions.
- Creates a culture and environment of continuous change, improvement, and learning by actively coaching his/her Production Supervisors, developing their careers, and requiring the Production Supervisors do the same with their direct reports.
Qualifications:
- A record of accomplishment of coaching and developing others.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Microsoft Project a plus.
- Experience in SAP and Paycor systems a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Ability to work strategically and tactically; hands-on experience in manufacturing operations required.
- PVC/Extrusion experience a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with Environmental, Health and Safety. OSHA training preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor degree in an engineering, operations or technical, manufacturing-related field from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years’ experience leading and developing exempt and nonexempt employees in manufacturing operations.
Salary : $69,100 - $87,500
