Systems Engineer

Dechen Consulting Group (DCG) is a rapidly expanding, innovative IT Professional Services and Management Consulting company with a track record of more than twenty-five years in delivering skilled professionals to our clients across diverse sectors.

We are currently seeking a professional for a W2 contract opportunity in Dearborn, MI. This role has the potential to extend over multiple years, with the chance to transition to a direct hire position with our client. • Lead a team of DevOps Engineers to maintain, support, and enhance our CICD practices.
• Implement and maintain new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure.
• Understand the changing needs of developers and translate them into action items.
• Create new ways to automate and improve the Continuous Integration process.
• Test and examine code written by others.
• Identify technical problems and develop updates and fixes.
• Work with other teams in the organization to ensure adherence to our best practices.

• Set up, maintain, and optimize pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
• Deploy updates and fixes as required to ensure Continuous Integration.
• Develop solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed.
• Perform root cause analysis of development and production build and pipeline issues.
• Develop automation to enhance current processes.
• Develop new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

• A strong foundation in System Engineering and Administration (Linux, Windows).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with Version Control/Repository Management tools like Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Experience with CICD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Circle-CI.
• Experience with Observability tools like Prometheus, Graphana, Datadog, CloudWatch, or Lens.
• Experience with log management tools such as Elastic Stack, Grafana Loki, or FluentD.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• 10 years of experience as a DevOps engineer or a similar software engineering role.
• 3 years in a leadership role leading a team of DevOps or software engineers.
• Experience with embedded systems build and development process preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other applicable degree.
