Position Highlights
- Work closely with classroom teachers to support daily lessons and student needs.
- Provide student support in small groups or one-on-one settings.
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom (including lunch, recess, or passing times)
- Attend to the physical, academic, and emotional needs of students
- Model professional and ethical standards in all interactions with students, staff, and families
- Build positive, collaborative relationships within the school community
Hours & Compensation
- Regular hours: 35 hours/week, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (some positions 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM)
- Occasional extra duty: 7:45–8:00 AM or 3:00–3:15/3:30 PM depending on assignment
- Pay range: $16.10 – $23.10/hour based on prior experience
- $0.35/hour with an AA degree, or beyond
- $0.60/hour with Advanced Paraeducator Certification
- Paid over 24 periods (year-round, even though work occurs during the school year)
- Additional hours paid on the following paycheck
